Hi Zendrui,
not trying to judge your programming skills, but do you have a plan to add 1 or 2 more developers into this project? There have been no updates for a while and you have a life too, so I'm wondering how the future of PocketZenPhone app is hehe.. |

Well never thought of that.
Next release will be 7.2 but after that I don't know.
There is a lot of applications like PZP now (with big company like SPB Phone or SBSH Phone suite)
And to tell the truth I have almost no more sells.
So I don't know what I will do after the 7.2 |

Looks like this has been around for a while... But I hope replying to it now helps!
Keep going with PZP! I have tried all the others and they are over the top. Bloated and useless because of all the crap they do. TOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!
Stick with what you have and optimize! 
I know that I may be in the minority here, but to many features are just that, to many. A lot of those other apps wast memory and processor because thay have all this stuff that doesn't get used. IMHO you should make this one better by making it smaller, faster & easier, not by adding bloat. If it comes down to having nothing to do, there is always the next device to program for because of compatability, then latest greatest OS and so on. There is always work...
Maybe modularize it... Have dlls that give the stuff, added features, like the call filtering, the signal strength, etc... That way we just put in the dlls that we want the functionality for and the rest are just not used...
I guess my point is, don't give up because of the over bloated ones. Advertise instead!
I have tried a few of the others just to see how they worked and always come back to PXP. I know I have said this before, but I would buy it again.

Yeah I know, I've tried SPB Phone Suite and SBSH PHoneWeaver too, and honestly, after a few days of trial, I've decided that PocketZenPhone is the best..
PhoneSuite - not enough custom profiles
PhoneWeaver - the fact that the manual and profile switching features don't work as good n simple as PocketZenPhone's..
Anyways, whatever you do, thanks for introducing PocketZenPhone ^^ |

Hi. Like many others I purchased pzp then found the others and tried them. Always came back. Your support was good. Your updates were regular and the bottom line is that it worked!
I think perhaps the only criticism I would have is that you were too generous. I know you didn't do it for the money but you do need an incentive to keep on developing and it's hard to keep going purely on the love of the thing. Perhaps if you were to produce a v7 for windows 7 keeping the design philosophies of simplicity and lack of bloat in mind and then... charge for it! Do what many others do and charge for major point releases v8, v9 etc. I would pay again for a working version.
This web site contains a gold mine of information and feedback to make something that would sell really well.
Remember, you were the first and you were the best for a long time! |
