| Post subject: Cellid switch not switching back when leaving cell |
|
|
Hi (again!)
I've noticed that the PDA is not switching back after leaving a cell to the previous last setting.
For example, if I am at the "Home" setting and have setup a "Silent" mode to come on when I enter my local church cell, it switches to "Silent", but when I go home, it doesn't switch back when it has left that church cell id.
I'm using 6.201 B1.
Thanks

Could you actiavte the log file (PZPSettings->Control->activate log file)
And after a certain time (after the problem appears again) post the file here (PZPLog.txt and PZPLocID.txt in \program files\PZPTools)
Will check if CellId is well detected and why switch is not applied

Here are the two log files.
In PZPlocID.txt, you'll see I was in a cell 14416-10001 from 17:11 to 19:22 and switched to Mode1. I then went home (went to a new cell 14416-3602). Why didn't it switch back to my previous time switched setting of Mode3?
Thanks

Thanks for your modes.
The problem comes from the fact that no CellID is regsitered for your mode3
If you open your mode file (the text file) you'll see that there is a filed called CellLacID which stores for each mode the CellID where the mode you should be selected
For your mode1 you have well <CellLacID : 40201-41686/14416-10001/>
But nothing is set for the mode3
So when you enter the CellID 14416-3602 nothin happens
Could you open PZPSettings and check that for your mode3 the CellID 14416-3602 is well added ?

Hi Zen
I know what you're saying, but I'm not sure if that will solve the problem. What I'm suggesting is that when you leave a cell, it returns to the previous switch based on time (unless you go into another cell).
Can I suggest that the thought process goes like this:
-> if the [current cellid] = [switched cell] then change to [mode per switch]
-> if the [current cellid] <> [switched cell] then change to [last previous time mode]
Again, here's an example.
Say my time switch is Mode 1 from 8:00am
Say my time switch is Mode 2 from 12:00pm
Say my time switch is Mode 3 from 10:00pm
Say my Mode 4 is a silent mode
Using my example as cell 14416-10001 being my church, if it is 11:00am and I enter the church it will switch to Mode 4, but should switch back to Mode 1 when I leave the cell 14416-10001 at 11:30am.
Likewise if it is 4:00pm and I enter the church, it should go to Mode 4, but when I leave at 4:30pm, it should witch back to Mode 2.
I hope I made this clearer?
Thanks
