Post subject: Crashed and left corrupted files and folders Reply with quote

I've been a happy user of PZPTools 6.103 for more than a year, but it suddenly crashed one day and hung the system. After restarting the phone (Dopod 810), I noticed that there were quite a number of corrupted files and folders in the PZPTools folder. The names of the files and folders contained special characters like these:
oR=;*"..<Ye

As a result, I could not delete those files and folders as those characters typically cannot be used as file names. Is there anything I can do about it?

Corrupted file I had such feedback and that could happen as I read/write on them frequently
But corrupted folders I never heard of this Confused
Even if you soft-reset your PDA you cannot delete the folders at all ?

That is correct. I could not delete them even after a soft reset. The problem is that the filenames contain invalid characters, and I think WM5 is not able to handle them.

If I try to rename such a file, WM5 will complain with an "Error Renaming File" prompt:
Code:

A file name cannot contain any of the following characters:
\/: *?"<>|
